January's Project is the Bead it Forward Project Started years ago as a way to help raise $ for the fight against Cancer.
The Bead Society will provide the Pellon to stitch your beaded square to. We will have a few patterns to choose from and the form that you fill out to send with your finished square. Bring your own needle, thread and beads!! Delicas seem to work best. The theme this year is Animals, you can find examples on the Bead and Button site. Squares turned in at February Meeting can then be mailed all together.
A NEW addition to the January Meeting is the Group Garage sale!! From 8-9 PM Members can exchange beading related materials ( Beads, Books, Kits, Tools) that they no longer need and would like to sell. This not a sale for finished items. Sellers please bring your merchandise already priced, Buyers Please bring CASH. Everyone selling will need to keep track of their own items. All transactions are between the buyer and seller. BYOB - Bring Your Own Bag to haul away the loot!!! |
