The Indiana Bead Society wants to help prepare its members for the great experience of taking a workshop with Sherry Serafini. This class is especially for those who have not done any bead embroidery before, but even if you have dabbled in it and feel a little rusty, come join us.
Carol Marlin will be leading the evening. She has looked at the projects Sherry will be teaching and will teach two techniques you will need to be successful in the classes.
Bead stitching techniques:
Using peyote stitch to make a beaded bezel
Stitching a very curvy line
Basic Theory
Use the basic bead embroidery backstitch to attach beads to a backing to make a bezel and work a curved line.
If you have started a piece of bead embroidery and need some guidance to finish it, please come and bring your piece with you. Carol will do her best to offer suggestions to finish your work |
